We are taking part in the CyberSafe Kids Cyberbreak. It is a 24-hour digital detox. Families across Ireland are being asked to disconnect to reconnect with a 24-hour family digital detox from 5pm, Friday, October 18th, 2024.
We have been learning about the impact of screentime on our lives and exploring alternatives. We know how much of an impact screens are having on our young people, so each class came up with ideas on how they can put away their tablets, etc and spend time offline. Each class also took part in a selection of screen-free activities.
- 5th class created posters on “make the online world a better place”
- 6th class carried out a survey in 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th class. The results are posted in the photos.
