Cycle Safety Training
On the 15th of November we began our outdoor 'Cycle Safety' lessons with our instructor, Mike. We were kitted out with helmets and bikes and we had great fun learning how to cycle safely. We worked on taking off, body position, emergency stops, looking and signaling before making a turn, weaving in and out through obstacles and transferring our weight correctly. Everybody made great progress and and our less experienced cyclists have become experts at gliding and balancing. We will work with Mike for the next five weeks and we're really looking forward to becoming competent and safe cyclists. Our teacher applied for Hi Vis vests from the RSA and they are due to arrive this week so we will be even safer when we cycle.
