Library Workshop
Last Wednesday week we took part in a workshop with illustrator Alan Dunne in the library. Alan illustrates funny, fascinating, and important characters from history in children's books and for television, and our class got the opportunity to see how he started out his journey, some of the illustrations he has produced, and the stages he goes through to make them. We got the opportunity to create our own illustrations of interesting events in history: Constance Markievicz getting ready to leave for the 1916 Rising only to find her dog Poppet throwing her Irish Republic flag around and Thomas Blood who tried to steal the crown jewels from his friend the King!
