Safer Internet Day 2025

Scoil Íde is taking part in Safer Internet Day 2025 on Tuesday the 11^th February.

This year’s celebrations are based around the theme, 

“Prepare / Protect / Thrive: Navigating Algorithms and Influencers.” 

This theme asks us to consider how algorithms and influencers shape young people’s lives.

Here are some ways parents can get involved:

• Stay Informed: Keep yourself informed about the latest apps online.  Use the Webwise Parents Hub to help you understand all the latest trends online.
• Chat to your child: Take some time to have a conversation about the importance of being safe online.  Encourage open discussion about their online experiences.
• Privacy Settings: Regularly review the privacy settings on all devices and apps in your home.  Ensure your child knows the importance of keeping personal information private
